Peer Review Process
Studies in Bibliometrics of Education and Technology undergoes a review process to ensure the quality of published articles. The review process begins with the manuscript being received and examined by an editor. The manuscript will be evaluated in the office to assess its suitability with the focus and scope of the Studies in Bibliometrics of Education and Technology Journal, as well as to identify possible methodological weaknesses and the level of similarity through Turnitin. After the manuscript passes the initial stage, it will be sent to anonymous reviewers for review by at least two experts using a ‘Double-Blind Review’ system. The review process can take 2–4 months. The reviewers' comments are then sent to the corresponding author for necessary action and response.
Articles accepted with minor or major revisions must be revised according to the reviewers' comments and suggestions. The proposed decision will be evaluated in an editorial board meeting. After that, the editor will send the final decision to the corresponding author. Using feedback from the peer review process, the editor will make a final publication decision. Decision categories include:
- Reject Submission.
- Resubmit for Review
- Accepted with Revisions;
- Accepted
The publication of accepted manuscripts, including the order of publication, will be determined by the Chief Editor, taking into account the order of receipt, the geographical distribution of authors, and thematic issues. This process usually takes approximately 7 months to 1 year from submission to publication, with an average of 6 months.
